With just over four months of the Waikato-BOP Harness Racing season remaining, Dunstan Horse Feeds has once again dug deep and sponsored $10,000 worth of prizes at Cambridge Raceway.
Dave Smith of Dunstan Horse Feeds said he was delighted to be continuing to support Cambridge Raceway.
“This is the fourth year we have sponsored Cambridge Raceway and they are such a good crew to work with, especially Dave (Branch) and Charlotte (Mooney)," said Smith.
“I also enjoy harness racing and its people. We get great support and mileage from the whole industry, so it was never a hard decision to make. We are only too pleased to carry on our support of such a progressive club.”
Cambridge Raceway Operations Manager Dave Branch was delighted with Dunstan Horse Feeds and Nutritions’ continued sponsorship.
“We are grateful to Dave (Smith) and the Dunstan team for their continued generous sponsorship in 2017-2018, $10,000 worth of prizes is an amazing benefit for those racing at Cambridge Raceway,” he said.
“Each winning horse of a totalisator race at Cambridge is allocated points relevant to his or her starting position. Every horse that places second will receive two points.
“The horse with the most points after our final meeting for the season on July 1 will be deemed the winner. In the event of a tie the prize will be shared."
Points are allocated as follows: Barriers 1 to 4: five points; barriers 5-10 - 7 points; barriers 11 to 16 and unruly - 8 points. Standing start - front five points; 10m - 6 points; 20m - 7 points; 30m: 8 points; 40m plus - 9 points.
All increments of five metres will incur the points of the nearest lowest handicap.
